Sheffield Gastro Experience
‘What is the potential for a gastronomical experience in Chapel Walk, Sheffield?’

We were asked to examine and familiarise ourselves with Chapel Walk, as a busy but under utilised thoroughfare and develop proposals that unlock the potential for a site specific gastronomical experience.
My Concept:

- Taking inspiration from local food market Peddler, I wanted to create a restaurant based around its food and chefs. By using these two ideas instead of the guests as a basis, I wanted to create a restaurant that highlighted and advertised the chefs, cooking and food.
- This led me too design a restaurant where the kitchen is a stage, and the tables and chairs are the audience. The guests watch their food being prepared and created every step of the way, offering a new style of dining experience whilst people get an understanding and value of what goes into making their meal.
